Saros 10R vs Qrevo CurvX: navigation design and detergent handling

Saros 10R and Qrevo CurvX both combine mapped vacuuming and mopping with substantial dock automation. The useful decision points are their navigation architecture and how cleaning solution is handled. There is no measured cleaning winner in this research. We use official US documentation to identify which configuration better matches a household's requirements.

Begin with the route that causes trouble

The Saros 10R page describes StarSight navigation using 3D ToF sensing, an RGB camera and lateral sensing. The CurvX page describes retractable LDS navigation, an upward sensor and RGB/structured-light obstacle sensing. Those are different approaches to understanding the cleaning route.

Neither architecture guarantees passage under a specific sofa or reliable detection of every small object. Measure the furniture entrance, the lowest internal crossbar and the floor beneath it. A low front opening can hide a more restrictive obstruction farther inside. Hanging fabric and nearby rug edges can also affect entry and return.

The manufacturers advertise slim bodies and chassis adaptations, but these are specifications rather than our clearance or threshold tests. The current Saros page contains an apparently mistyped dimension string, which we exclude. Confirm exact physical dimensions in current purchase documentation when a tight opening is decisive.

One dock distinction is unambiguous

The 10R manual documents a solution cartridge and automatic dosing for washing and robot-water refill. Recommended solution is a separate purchase, and dosing can be skipped or disabled if solution is not used. That is relevant to an owner who wants a repeatable supported dosing process.

CurvX's US FAQ explicitly says it has no cleaning-solution cartridge. It still washes and dries mops, empties dust and refills the robot, but its solution handling follows a different manual procedure. If dosing automation matters more than the other design differences, 10R has the documented hardware advantage for that requirement.

This does not establish which liquid produces better cleaning or which robot removes more stains. Follow each model's approved-fluid instructions rather than transferring a procedure between docks.

Both stations create maintenance work

Water tanks, bags, filters, brushes, cloths and cleaning trays remain owner responsibilities. Automatic washing reduces repeated mop handling, while clean-water refill and dirty-water disposal still happen around the station. Put either dock where you can reach the tanks and remove service parts without rearranging the room.

If you mainly vacuum, assess whether either large wet station solves a problem you have. A simpler robot may be sufficient. The best station for an owner with difficult tank access can be the configuration that is easiest to service, regardless of its headline feature count.

What we can say about app costs

Both official manuals present app setup, schedules, cleaning controls and station settings without a paid-plan activation step. We infer that those documented core functions are included with the products. We do not claim an explicit lifetime no-fee guarantee, nor do we qualify every advanced video, AI or ecosystem feature as free.

The checked manuals specify 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Connected map and remote workflows should be assessed separately from physical cleaning controls; their outage behavior has not been tested here. CurvX's advertised offline voice feature does not establish cloud-independent operation of the entire system.

Make a requirements-based choice

Choose a shortlist around your furniture route and the station jobs you value. Favor the documented 10R cartridge when automatic solution dosing is important; investigate CurvX when its retractable navigation design addresses a specific low-space constraint. For either, clear cords and supervise the first route.

Confirm the US model, compatible tank dock, cord and supplied consumables in the exact offer.
