For the researched Qrevo CurvX, Dreame Matrix10 Ultra and Narwal Flow 2, official documentation presents core app operation as part of using the equipment. The checked setup paths do not include a paid-membership activation step. That supports a narrower conclusion than a promise that every service from these brands is free forever. This is document research, not a hands-on test of app payment screens.
What the documents actually support
The CurvX manual explains pairing, map-based cleaning controls, scheduling and dock settings. The Matrix10 Ultra manual describes app setup, mapping, cleaning operations and mop-switching configuration. Flow 2's manual and US page document map tools, cleaning control and schedules.
We classify those ordinary equipment functions as documented included functions. This is an inference from how the manufacturer supplies and explains them. It is distinct from an explicit statement that no paid plan can ever be required for any function. We have not found or claimed that stronger promise for this robot group.
The classification applies to the checked models and documented functions. It should not be copied automatically to every robot, accessory or service carrying the same brand name.
Keep advanced services outside the conclusion
Features such as conversational AI, remote video, pet-related tools and future cloud additions need their own current entitlement evidence. A model page listing a capability does not necessarily explain whether every part of it is available without a separate service or under every account and region.
Flow 2's advanced NarGPT and video features are not included in our free-core conclusion. Similar restraint applies to advanced camera and future software functions on the other models. Decide whether those extras matter before purchase, then ask the manufacturer about current US requirements rather than assuming a blanket free tier.
Connectivity is a separate dependency
The checked model manuals specify 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for pairing. App installation, compatible devices, account requirements and Internet access still matter even when no robot membership is documented for core control.
A local start button does not prove that remote commands, account-linked maps and every scheduled task behave identically during an outage or after a vendor service ends. We have not tested those failure cases. A no-required-plan inference should not be rewritten as an entirely cloud-independent product claim.
CurvX's US page specifically advertises its built-in Hello Rocky voice assistant working without Internet. That is a bounded feature claim, not proof of offline remote access or independence from every third-party assistant service.
An accessory subscription buys supplies
Narwal's official accessory subscription terms describe recurring deliveries and charges for accessory bundles. That is an optional purchasing arrangement for consumables. It is not evidence that a monthly membership must be paid to unlock Flow 2's ordinary cleaning controls.
The distinction does not make consumables free. Bags, filters, brushes, mop components and supported solution still belong in an operating budget whether bought individually or on an automatic-delivery plan. Evaluate the bundle contents, renewal period and cancellation terms separately from the robot's app capabilities.
Questions to resolve before ordering
List the exact functions you require: normal cleaning controls, map editing, schedules, dock modes and any advanced AI or video service. Match each with model-specific official evidence and ask about unclear paid entitlements. Confirm the correct US robot, station and initial supplies rather than relying solely on an affiliate title.
For the documented core routines in this group, the available evidence supports inclusion with the equipment. A broader free-forever, all-AI-free or fully offline promise remains unsupported. Buy according to that precise boundary and budget separately for physical operating supplies.
