Roborock Qrevo CurvX: a capable mop dock with one important omission

Qrevo CurvX is worth researching when you want automated dust and mop handling, room-level app control and a navigation sensor that can retract around low furniture. Its station automates several daily tasks, but the US FAQ explicitly says it has no cleaning-solution cartridge. That detail can decide the purchase for an owner who expects automatic detergent dosing. We researched official documentation and did not test its cleaning performance.

What the connected features require

The US model page specifically describes scheduling, map management, room routines, dock modes and cleaning status in the Roborock app. The FCC manual gives pairing and normal operation instructions without a paid-plan activation step. We infer that these documented core functions are included with the equipment. This is not an explicit guarantee that every future or advanced service is free.

The manual specifies 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Put the dock within dependable coverage and plan for a suitable phone and app setup. The US page advertises Hello Rocky voice commands without Internet access, which is a useful local-control distinction. It does not establish that remote app functions or video calls work without network services.

Know what the station does

Multifunctional Dock 3.0 Thermo+ charges the robot, empties its dustbin, washes the mops with hot water, dries them with warm air and refills the robot's water tank with warm water. The temperature figures on the page are manufacturer specifications and have not been measured here. More relevant to ownership is that these jobs happen at a powered station with clean-water and dirty-water tanks.

The owner still fills and cleans tanks, disposes of dirty water, maintains the tray and replaces bags and worn supplies. The absence of a solution cartridge means automatic dosing should not appear on your list of CurvX features. If you use a recommended solution, follow the manual's mixing instructions instead of assuming that another Roborock model's cartridge method applies.

Low furniture needs a route assessment

The model page describes RetractSense navigation with a retractable LDS sensor and an upward sensor. It also lists RGB and structured-light obstacle sensing. Retraction can make the physical navigation design relevant to low furniture, but overall clearance is only part of the problem. Crossbars, uneven floors, hanging upholstery and the opening's approach angle can all change the route.

Measure the entry and the lowest obstruction beneath the furniture. Avoid treating the manufacturer's minimum-height marketing as a successful test of your sofa. The manual also directs preparation of cords, loose items and valuable objects. Obstacle sensing reduces the need for some interventions; it does not remove the need to inspect a new route.

Extras should not drive a basic cleaning decision

The page presents pet video calls, pet snapshots and related functions. We have not separately verified their current payment terms or implementation. It also combines image-storage privacy language with downloadable pet snapshots, so we do not make a blanket claim that every image stays local or is never retained. Matter appears with an OTA qualification; check delivered firmware support if integration is essential.

Who benefits from this configuration

CurvX suits a home that will regularly mop, has space for tank care and values map-based routines. A basic Q7 L5 has a simpler charging dock and requires manual mop and dustbin care; that can be preferable when station size and wet maintenance matter more than automation.

Saros 10R is the more relevant neighboring model when a documented solution cartridge is important. Compare complete workflows rather than assuming one dock automates everything. Before buying, confirm the US robot, matching dock, supplied power equipment and accessory quantities. Our catalog ASIN title agrees with CurvX, but exact manufacturer bundle mapping is unresolved. Allow for bags, filters, brushes, mop cloths, water and electricity even when core app functions are included.
